Just finished reading this little book: Big Magic, by Elizabeth Gilbert . I found it adorable. It is not very scientific or theoretically grounded, but merely an intuitive understanding of creation and what we as creators should understand. The process of creativity itself is overlooked, and sometimes I found too many examples of personal stories…… but apart from that I found it delightful. It is All about moving beyond our own fears and insecurities and just doing it, whatever it may be.
“The universe buries strange jewels deep within us all, and then stands back to see if we can find them.”
“Do whatever brings you to life, then. Follow your own fascinations, obsessions, and compulsions. Trust them. Create whatever causes a revolution in your heart.”
“A creative life is an amplified life. It’s a bigger life, a happier life, an expanded life, and a hell of a lot more interesting life. Living in this manner—continually and stubbornly bringing forth the jewels that are hidden within you—is a fine art, in and of itself.”
