The greatest love story ever: Alcobaca Cathedral in Alcobaca

A couple of days ago I visited the Alcobaca Cathedral in Alcobaca, Portugal. I had been here before, but it’s always lovely to come back. At the far end of nave, on either side of it, lie the two tombs of Ines de Castro and D. Pedro I’s tombs. Although apart, they face each other… It is exactly as Pedro wished: so that when they woke, in eternal life, they would wake into each other’s embrace.

Here is a link to the whole story. It is breathtakingly beautiful. And bellow are some pictures of the tombs, which, are equally, as beautiful and magical.
